5th Trade (Feb.6/2013)
(Cobra 2-Way Radios for Angle Grinder Kit)

(Trevor and I making the trade.)

(Earned 1% ITT for being Trader #5 = 1% of profits for Penny #3)

Although there were a few hiccups during this trade, I'm happy to tell all of you that Penny #3 is out of the pit stop and back on track.  Originally, Trevor had offered a different item, of which we traded and I had even posted.  Unfortunately, there was a problem with it and we had decided that a different trade could be made.  During this decision, an issue arose with the radios which almost put an end to the trade and forced me to begin thinking what I should do....continue posting the radios the way they were or put an item of my own into the race in it's place.  Fortunately, on the day that I was going to pick up the 2-way radios, Trevor changed his mind and still wanted to trade with me.  Confusing, I know, but I'm happy to say that everything worked out in the end and Penny #3 has a new item.

4th Trade (July 2/2012)
(Mini Camcorder for Cobra 2-Way Radios)

Greg and I making the trade.

(Earned 2% ITT for being Trader #4 and also the final entry into the Oh, Canada! T-shirt draw = 2% of profits for Penny #3)

Can you believe it's been a year and a half since I made the trade from the bathroom faucet to the mini camcorder?!?!  It's been a very sad 1.5 years for this item, as only a small handful of offer had come in for it, none of which really peaked my interest too much.  Although I was losing hope for Penny #3, Canada Day weekend came and Winnipeg showed her true spirit in the way of an offer that I couldn't refuse.

I ended up trading the RCA Mini Flip Camcorder for a pair of Cobra 2-way Radios!  This is something that gets me kind of excited, as I've rarely been given the chance to play around with walkie-talkies.....and now I can!  :)

These 2-Way Radios come with 2 radios, the manual, 2 lithium batteries, and the charging dock.  This is the Cobra MicroTalk LI 3900 DX-C.

These radios may, or may not, be more valuable than the mini camcorder, but I can definitely tell you that, after a year and a half of holding onto the camcorder, these walkie-talkies offer a bit of fresh air and a new chance to trade up to something fantastic!

If you'd like to know more about the specs of these 2-way radios, please check out this review (LINK)  or this review with a bit more detail (LINK).  An online owners manual can be found here (LINK)

I can't wait to try these out.  Personally, I could find these very useful for camping and also for events with large crowds.  There are endless opportunities and situations to need this type of device to communicate with friends, family, and co-workers.

Thanks again, Greg, for making me an offer I couldn't refuse.  I hope you enjoy the camcorder and that you're able to get the perfect spot to shoot the video of the planes while you're on your vacation.  I'd love to see it and would post it if you sent it too.  :)  You're also the last person to be eligible for the Oh, Canada! T-Shirt Giveaway, which is a draw that was posted back in 2011!  There are only 2 others in this draw and the winner will be posted once the draw has been made....good luck.

 3rd Trade (Jan.7/2011)
(Bathroom Faucet for a Mini Camcorder)

After almost 3 months, the bathroom taps were traded.  This trade was accepted on Jan.3/11, which was the last day that the Christmas Present Percentage was available.  The trade ended up taking place on Ukrainian Christmas (Jan.7/11).  I am Ukrainian, so this trade was like a nice Christmas present for me.  It took me an hour and a half stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic with an 11 month old baby that hadn't had her nap yet .  Also, I heard on the radio while driving that there was an accident on the street that I was going to, which was causing an even worse backup than the downtown traffic I was already in.  I pressed on, though, as Farrah fell asleep in the car seat.
When I got there, the trade went really well.  I was very happy to meet Michelle and her son, Cameron.  Michelle was very nice and showed great enthusiasm about PTAD.  I really enjoyed meeting them and truly feel that the Christmas Present Percentage went to the right family.  I hope you enjoy the bathroom taps.  I'm sure they'll look beautiful in your bathroom.  (Farrah says, "Hi Fargo")

2nd TRADE (Oct.15/10)
(Poker Table for Bathroom Faucet)

Farrah's 2010 Penny is still in the lead.  Starting with just a penny, trading up to a poker package, and now, thanks to an offer that came at a time when I was starting to wonder if anybody actually wanted a folding poker table, a new item has surfaced.  I'm starting to really love these weekends that start with a trade.  It's going to take some good trading for the other pennies to catch up to this.

At first, you might be thinking that this might not be that good of a trade, but let me tell you, the quality of this item is awesome.   It's an item that I like to call, "Farrah Faucet!"  That's a little pun in case you didn't know.  (Farrah Fawcett!")  Thanks, Ron, for pointing out that pun.  I can't believe I didn't think of it first.  lol  Anyways, I'm pretty sure that just gave it away, but the new item is a bathroom faucet.

A JALO faucet.  A JALO Luxury Classic Series faucet for a bathroom counter-top.  It has 4 inch centers.  It is solid brass with Superior Chrome finish.  These taps include the mechanical drain assembly, Ceramic cartridges, and installation instructions.  This is a very elegant and beautiful faucet.  It is brand new, still in the box, and has NEVER been used.

Gorgeous, shiny, elegant, and beautiful!
(I would love to install this in my bathroom, but the trades must go on.)

Ron and Farrah making the trade.
(With me in the background)
Ron IS holding the poker table, but you just can't see it.

Thanks again, Ron, for making your way to my place to make the trade.  I'm glad it wasn't too far out of your way.  Michelle, Farrah, and I were very happy to have met you and hope that the path that this penny is on continues to go in the direction it has been.  I'm sure your sons are going to love the table.  What a great gift.  You'll have to learn to play Texas Hold'em, though.  That way, you could make your kids win their allowance.  Plus, if you do end up learning to play, let me know and I'll get you into one of our home games.

So, to anybody that would like a nice, new, elegant look in their bathroom...Email Me
Serious offer only, please.  Plus, remember the point of this...offers should be Bigger and Better than the faucet.

1st TRADE (Sept.26/10)
(Penny for a Poker Table)

So, the 2010 penny had been lined up for trade on Friday.  All I needed to do was wait for a pickup address through an email, but the email never came.  :(  Something had suddenly come up for the trader, which left him unable to make the trade.  At first, I was a little disappointed, but another trader quickly surfaced.  My sister in-law to my surprise, liked the idea of the 10% incentive for being the first trader.  She had something that she knew I would like, and let me tell you, for a penny, this was an amazing trade.  This is Penny #3(Trade #2)...  Go All In!!!
This is an 8 man (or woman; girls play poker too)
fold out poker table.  This is from Trader #1 and was
traded for The 2010 Penny.  It is a table-top poker
table.  It doesn't have any legs, but sits perfectly on our
outdoor bistro table, and sits nicely on picnic tables and
kitchen tables.
I've also added to the table by throwing in 2 decks of
cards (not the best decks in the world, but will get you
started) and also all spare poker chips I had in storage.
It folds down nicely to fit under a bed or in a closet,
and also comes with it's own carrying case.
Thanks Maggie for making such an amazing offer.  It's
really nice to have the support of family and to know
that you believe in this experiment, too.  Hopefully, the 10%
will come quickly, and it's definitely off to a great start for The
2010 Penny.
Farrah (it was her penny) & Auntie Maggie

TRADED

(Farrah with Mr.Blue)

2010 Penny (Farrah's Penny)

This is the year that my beautiful daughter, Farrah, was born.  She's been a wonderful addition to our family and we feel blessed and extremely lucky to have such an amazing baby girl.  This is why I feel that this penny is probably the luckiest of them all.  But if it's not, at least it's the shiniest.  Help this penny win the race.  Trade me up quickly to ensure this penny comes in first.
