Unfortunately, nobody took advantage of the Birthday Bonus. I had a few offers come in, but nothing that would have made sense to trade for. Remember, the point is to trade these items UP. :)
I also had a couple of people ask me over the last little while what types of items I would like to see come into the race. I really didn't know what to say. I'm not really hoping for anything in particular, but I guess if I had to pick something, I'd love to see a
guitar or a laptop get offered. They also asked me what I'm trying to trade up to....and well....I would love to be the second person in Canada to trade their way up to a house! I think that would be an amazing thing to do and ever since I read about Kyle's journey with his paperclip, I couldn't help but wonder if it could actually be done again, and that's where YOU come in. We won't be able to trade our way up to a house or a car or a boat if offers aren't made. Just remember, offers should be Bigger & Better and should be something that I would be crazy to refuse.
I'm also trying to plan a little giveaway on Pennies To A Dream, but before I can start any giveaways, I need more votes on The Fence button (right hand sidebar). Also, if you want to earn points that can be redeemed for paypal money, Amazon giftcards, or a ton of other prizes, click on the Swagbucks banner and sign up. I've already earned $15 paypal money and am on my way to another $5. Super easy and enjoyable (especially once the money is put into your account). I've also found a Canadian sweepstakes site that is really fun and has a lot of prize giveaways. You can enter each contest daily, plus, every entry gives you an additional "token" that you can either add to any of the sweepstakes that you want or "play the slots" and try to win prizes or more tokens that way. They also run a referral program. The referral program works by referring your friends through email and if they join, that gives you additional token that can be used as entries into the draws. The more entries into a draw you have, the better your chances are of winning! If you'd like to know the name of the site, please send me an email with your email address. I will then refer your email address through the site, which will send you an email asking if you'd like to join under my name. The way I look at it is....you can't win something if you don't enter. Just like the lottery. How can you win the lottery if you never buy a ticket?
I'm also planning to change my Facebook account to a "Fan page" and will hold more giveaways once this happens. As a side note....I just wanted to let everyone know about a wicked contest that Nestle is having right now...head over to www.bluefreezer.ca and find out how you can win a really cool piece of electronics called the Bloggie. All you have to do is take a photo of yourself in front of a Mac's store eating a delicious Nestle ice cream treat (I took photo with a drumstick...yum!) and then upload your photo to the site with your information. They have a DAILY grand prize draw for a Bloggie and also a ton of other ice cream treat prizes! You can upload a different photo every 24 hours to increase your chances of a win. The reason I'm letting you all know about this cool contest is....as I was writing this post, Nestle called me up and told me that I was a grand prize winner!!! I've only entered the contest with 2 photos and it's only been a couple of days and, sure enough, I WON!!! I had won a frozen treat and now have won a grand prize.
