Luck?

It was the first night that my wife and I have had alone for quite sometime, so what did we decide to do?  The only thing to do on a rainy Friday night...head to the casino.  I thought that it would be a good idea to see if my penny could "actually" bring me a little luck.  I've gotta say that I'm not at all disappointed with the way the evening turned out.  When we got there, we walked around for a while, just to compare it to the other casino in The 'Peg that we usually prefer to go to.  I was in no way discouraged by the difference.  There's machines to play and money to be made.  It really doesn't matter about the atmosphere of the room to make money.  While walking around,
I passed a couple of penny slot machines.  I thought, "Should I try?  Is it a sign?"  I kept on moving past the rows of hopeful people with plenty of credits to keep them going for a while longer and stumbled upon a 2 cent machine.  It wasn't the old type of slot machine that you might expect some 80's movie to have.  It was loud, colorful, and had animated piggy banks and dollar signs.  I was truly attracted to it.  I plugged in the $5 bill that my wallet had been keeping safe and hit spin.
The money came and went.  Since I was playing 20 lines at 1 credit each, it was costing me 40 cents per spin.  It sucked me down until I had 10 credits.  20 cents!!  I started thinking that the 1978 penny I had been holding and privately rubbing with my pointer finger and thumb wasn't actually the "lucky" penny that I was hoping that it would be.  I hit 5 lines at 2 credits/line...then, I hit spin.  Next thing I know......DING DING DING  2000 credits.  Are you kidding me.  $40!!!!  That's more like it! The penny paid off.  I cashed out and showed my wife, Michelle.  If only she had been holding onto her penny (1982)!  Maybe she would have had more luck than what she did.
Maybe my penny really is lucky!  I may not have won too much, but coming home with $35 is still 700% more than what I spent!
I urge you to trade-up this penny!  It's lucky.
(penny still available at time of post)
